The industrial systems subsidiary of Samsung Group, Samsung Everland, decided to work with M+M Turbinen Technik GmbH while searching for the ideal steam turbine manufacturer. Samsung requires a steam turbine with a maximum electrical power of approx. 20 MW. By now, the available waste heat from an industrial low-temperature waste heat process is rejected without being used. This will change now with a turbine tailor made by M+M Turbinen-Technik. The steam turbine will be used on a refinery process with a thermal capacity of nearly 100 MW. The turbine of M+M Turbinen-Technik is supposed to be activated in summer 2015 and will be installed in Ulsan, Republic of Korea.
