30 Years of M+M Turbinen-Technik: Company Anniversary and Generational Transition

In 2025, M+M Turbinen-Technik celebrates its 30th anniversary – and we are looking ahead with a new generation in management. Since our founder Edwin Mecklenburger established the company in Bad Salzuflen in 1995, we have delivered more than 200 steam turbine projects worldwide. Since 2024, Nina Mecklenburger-Galkowski and Georg-Martin Mecklenburger have been running our family business alongside him.
Three Decades of Passion for Steam Turbines
When Edwin Mecklenburger founded M+M Turbinen-Technik in 1995, he laid the foundations for what we are today: a family business operating worldwide that builds steam turbines with heart and passion. Since then, we have delivered more than 200 steam turbine projects in over 20 countries – in biomass and waste-to-energy plants, in the chemical and food industries, and in geothermal and power plant projects.
Our ambition has always remained the same: customised steam turbines in the 0.2 to 30 MWe power range, tailored precisely to our customers’ projects. In this way, we help them convert existing process steam into electricity and heat, increase their energy efficiency and achieve their sustainability goals. Together with our customers and partners, we have celebrated many successes over the years and overcome more than a few challenges.
We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved together over the past three decades.
Generational Transition: Full Steam Ahead
Our anniversary also comes with a clear succession: since 2024, the second generation has been running our family business together with its founder. Nina Mecklenburger-Galkowski, Edwin Mecklenburger’s daughter, previously served as our authorised signatory for many years. Georg-Martin Mecklenburger, his son-in-law, brings his experience as a branch manager to the management team. Both have known our company, our customers and our technology for many years.
Their aim is to continue our founder’s vision and to lead M+M into a modern future with ‘fresh steam’. To achieve this, they are committed to values-based leadership centred on responsibility and quality. Flat hierarchies are intended to further improve our communication and collaboration and to create room for innovative solutions. This puts us in a strong position to meet the challenges of the energy transition, in which efficient, decentralised power generation is becoming increasingly important. For our customers and partners, nothing changes: your usual contacts remain available to you.

Above all, our anniversary is an occasion to say thank you. To our partners who have accompanied us along the way: your trust and support have been a cornerstone of our success.
